To all of you, semantic bastards.

I have not seen a single discussion or comment system without those stupid pseudosemantic vomit. I cannot believe you are so incapable of copying the default BP stylesheet and rename appropriate classes or create and new one and add appropriate code from "span-24 last" class? Are you retarded or what?!

Then, why the hell are you coming to post this shit on boards?

I'm definitely with Chris on this. Class *names* are not HTML, they are CSS! The class *attribute* is HMTL, but the value(s) of the attribute can be anything useful to the designer.

It's been my understanding that the 'class' attribute was simply an isolated point in the otherwise semantic document that allowed arbitrary string keys, seperated by space, providing hooks by which to provide style with css. This is similar to 'id' which is of course unique. I understand it might provide other developers with a semantic meaning like 'left-nav' but there is nothing that prevents the developer from adding class names that provide some other context. To me the general classes that BP provides are more meaningful than 'left-nav'. Does a screen reader ever present class attributes? I think trying to cram only semantic meaning into class attributes is the opposite of what they are architecturally meant to be used for, style. I'm more concerned about web designers learning to use tab-index consistently and correctly. I like what BP has done, and I'm significantly more productive than before.
